Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Sound Families Initiative awards Intercommunity Mercy Housing $962,500
SEATTLE – The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, through its Sound Families Initiative, has awarded Intercommunity Mercy Housing (IMH) $962,500 to support the development of 35 units of transitional housing and the provision of related case management services.

Housing Hope opens facility for teens
EVERETT, Wash. — Safe, affordable housing will be available to more Everett families when Housing Hope officially opens its latest project, New Century House, September 12 at noon. Located at 2505 Howard Avenue, eight of the 10 units will be reserved as transitional housing for homeless, pregnant teens or parenting teens.

Lakewood Area Shelter Association reaches $1.5 million capital campaign goal
LAKEWOOD, Wash. – The Lakewood Area Shelter Association (LASA) today announced it has reached its capital campaign goal to purchase 14 units of transitional housing. A recent grant of $455,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Sound Families program pushed LASA’s campaign over $1.5 million mark.

New affordable housing a welcome sight in Snohomish County
LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A grand opening celebration will be held on November 7, 2001, from 4 - 6 p.m. to welcome the newest addition to the Lincoln Way Apartments. With the completion of Lincoln Way II, Lincoln Way Apartments now offers 100 units of affordable family housing in Lynnwood, Washington. Additionally, 15 of these units will be set aside to serve formerly homeless families.
